Goodnight's Comedy Club

THE COMEDY CLUB
On the street level is our nationally recognized Comedy Club. The finest comedy talent in the country from star to rising star performs each week at Charlie Goodnight's. Such notables as Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Dennis Miller, Drew Carey, Ray Romano, Kevin James, Ellen Degeneres and even Robin Williams have graced the Goodnight's Stage.

TWO RESTAURANTS TO CHOOSE FROM

OLD BAR (menu)
On the Basement level we have our world-famous OLD BAR restaurant and Bar.  Originally opened as a Mexican restaurant in the late 70's (even before the comedy club opened) and becoming a Raleigh landmark both for the food and as Raleigh's first downtown bar, a legendary late night party place!  Great Rock & Roll music, large flat panel TV's, great food, great drinks and the best bartenders in town - all served up in an industrial-looking sub-terrain restaurant (The place was built 100 years ago as an Ice Cream Factory - brick walls abound, huge cement and steel columns, two 2 ton generators and industrial piping all decorate the basement, along with hundreds of items for sale in our "garage sale" - EVERYTHING IS FOR SALE IN THE OLD BAR, even the table you are eating at.

Menu items include our Signature Fried Gouda, cheese fries, black bean sirloin chili, great 1/2 pound burgers, ribs, flat-iron steak, and fajitas (which we serve up on Wednesday nights for our famous FAJITA-MARGARITA NIGHT every Wednesday - $10 Fajitas/ $10 PITCHERS of Margaritas and when you buy dinner on Wednesday, you get a free ticket to the show - our open mic featuring local pros, amateurs and a first-timer or two.  It's a great way to get over the mid-week blues).

Save room for homemade ice cream, one of our huge desserts or our famous Tex-Mex Bananas Foster!

After the show or just for a late night party - dance(either on the dance floor or on the bar - thousands have!), drink and have a great time with our bartenders in the OLD BAR.

THE GRILLE AT GOODNIGHT'S (menu)
Our up-scale restaurant, famous for fresh fish, steaks, lamb and veal, duck and more, all grilled on an open mesquite wood flame. In addition, we hand-roll fresh pasta for several Italian entrees and have great fresh seafood as well.  Our Chef, Richard Meckley (himself famous since 1985) also creates some wonderful special additions to each evening's menu.

Our wine list has selections to suit everyone's taste and budget and we have a wonderful champagne list as well. From reasonably priced options to fine vintages, we have a selection to meet your needs.  Champagne includes Chandon, Etoille, Veuve Clicqout and Dom Perignon - just to name a few. For dessert, we have housemade specialties that vary seasonally and you can enjoy a cappuccino and espresso with your dessert. Specialty martini and bourbon menus, round out your Grille experience to make it a great experience.

The Grille restaurant is on the second floor of the building.  Since we are located in a 100 year old building, the Grille is only accessible by a staircase. We are happy to serve dinner to special needs customers in the comedy club, which is on the street level. Please alert your box office representative of any special needs cases, and they will make alternate arrangements for your dinner reservation.

Entree prices range from $15 to $29.50

Comedy Worx

About The Show

ComedyWorx is professional team-on-team improvisational comedy. Two teams of performers compete for points based on audience laughs. The talent is a riot, and the fun is interactive!

Each team performs different scenes and plays different games based on audience suggestions. As an audience member, you may even get a chance to play with the teams on-field! Every show is a unique experience. Come experience Raleigh's longest-running improv comedy show this weekend!

ComedyWorx presents our purely improvised competitive improv shows this weekend. Come see TV's "Whose Line Is It Anyway" type games in our show. Only... it’s funnier because we have been doing it longer, it’s live and YOU provide the suggestions. These are the shows that have rocked the Triangle for 18 years.
